Welcome to our Classic Car page

Jeannette's 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV 1750. Driving this car was most enjoyable. The raunchy exhaust tone and big wooden steering wheel made one realise that this is a real 60's no-nonsense sports car.

Jeannette's second classic was this 1977 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC. These are wonderful classics to own, for they are relatively cheap to maintain, and are fantastic to drive! The 4,5 L V8 mated to an automatic gearbox and plush leather interior ensures real driving pleasure.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series were unveiled to the public at the Paris Motor Show in the Autumn of 1965. It was to become the most successful model in the history of Rolls-Royce. "Emma", our first Silver Shadow, was an early 1970 model with chassis number SRH 8475. Visit my Rolls-Royce website.

1948 Bentley Mk VI, chassis number B108CF. The car was originally Mistletoe green with tan hide, and was ordered trough Stanley Motors of Eloff Street, Johannesburg for Sir Michael Bernard Grenville Oppenheimer Bt. from 54 Houghton Drive. It was delivered to Southampton on 9 February 1948, and shipped on the SS Warwick Castle on 12 February 1948 to Durban, South Africa. Sir Michael took delivery in March 1948. See more here.

1983 Daimler Double-Six Vanden Plas. This V12 beast was Jaguar's flagship model in the 80's. It is luxurious, silent, comfortable and very fast. And, on top of all that it is blessed with looks as well!

"Goldilox", our current Silver Shadow is a 1974 model with chassis number SRH 19461.

1964 Triumph Spitfire IV, Mk I. This was my first real attempt at rebuilding a car.

This is Mavis, our 1961 Mercedes Benz 190B Ponton. Of all the classics we have owned, Mavis is the one I miss the most. The character of this car really gets under your skin, and she becomes part of the family.

Jamie's introduction to classic cars is this metal pedal car, complete with white wall tires and a Vintage and Veteran Car Club badge!

1968 BMW R50/2. This motorcycle was delivered to the Düsseldorf Police on 24 June 1968. In Germany these motorcycles were called "Weisse Mause" (white mice), so Jeannette christened it Stuart, after the movie Stuart Little.

This old Honda served as my transport to school more than 25 years ago. I eventually decided to bring my faithful old steed back to life, and have recently started with the restoration. Read all about it HERE
